It's also the opening of the 2009 SlamMadness season. Featuring the award-winning "All Kinds of Poetry" Open Mic, local and national showcase poets, and Round Robin hosted by Resident Host Johnny "Obadele" Jenkins Jr. with Smooth hip-hop, house and soul grooves provided by Resident DJ Andre Royster of the SoundCircle Collective. Our first showcase performance in the new venue will be Dimonique of Detroit (See Pic Above). Another EchoVerse favorite.

1515 Broadway Theater has served as the home for our special events like Passion Fruit, Battle of the Sexes and the EchoVerse Final Stage Competition for several years.
